What is DHT
DHT is an androgen, a hormone DHT is an androgen, a hormone responsible for the development of sexual characteristics.
Androgens such as Testosterone and DHT are the main regulators of hair growth and contribute to the changing of tiny, unpigmented hairs into thicker hair follicles.
DHT travels through our bloodstream and attaches upon the Androgen Receptors at the base of the hair follicles (Papilla of the hair), preventing nutrition and oxygen from getting into the hair follicle. DHT requires all 100 androgen receptors in order to attach itself properly.
